0.00 to 0.20 version 0.00 was basically Ian Jeffrey's EasyDial with added
support for dynamic IP addresses. Any later versions before and
up to early versions of 0.20 are various evolutions from the
EasyDial code up to the point I decided that all my
configuration and scripting facilities justified a new name and
icon.
0.20 First release version
0.21 This version includes some of the suggestions and fixes some of
the bugs reported to me after the release of 0.20. Major new
features:
GetWord command
Inet$Password
Inet$NameServer1IP
Inet$NameServer2IP
Inet$NameServer3IP
Inet$Domain
Inet$FullName
FreeDial now runs with Acorn Internet or FreeNet as supplied.
Fixed bug with long lines in the log file.
1 sec. wait command '|W' introduced in modem driver strings.
Hangup command needed this to work.
StartSLIP now assumes Inet$RouterIP to be equal to Inet$RemoteIP
if it is not set.
ResConf now recognises both the 'domain' and 'search' keywords
in the resconf file
0.22 Any options from the Choices file can now be overruled by
command line parameters. Dial attempts limit can now be switched
off. Script error detection improved. Configure Resolver button.
TCP/IP stack selection menu. Device Claim protocol supported.
SerialDev info display. frontend reorganized. Country hierarchy
for providers introduced. Connect speed display. Memory leaks
fixed. There was a problem with the timeout detection code which
made the modem refuse to do anything on many systems except
mine, this should be fixed now. New SendGS command.
0.23 Window positioning corrected. Setting redial attempts>1 now
really works. The -dial option now works again. Return value
now indicates either: connected, not dialled or failed. Redial
delay selection added. !OnLine script added to Stack support.
This script now implements call logging for all providers.
Inet$Phone added for call log. A status only display instead of
full login procedure logging can now be selected.
